Apparel specialist OMM (Original Mountain Marathon), has designed a new Core range for autumn/winter 2020. The new range made entirely from PrimaLoft NEXT, which features a unique mix of insulation and fabric.
OMM adds that its latesst Core product offering ‘pushes minimum weight and maximum warmth to the limits without the bulk – with a range that is as unique in look as it is in extreme lightweight performance.’
PrimaLoft‘s NEXT is a hybrid insulation and fabric mix, which is a comfortable next-to-skin option or works as a mid-layer.
Mimicking properties found in animal fur, PrimaLoft NEXT uses fibres which differ in lengths and thickness to create ‘natural highs and lows in the material.’
‘This produces highly open structures that maximise airflow when on the move, with air entrapment when resting, for optimal thermal performance. The result is a thermoregulating system that behaves like multiple layers, without the need for layering.’
Designed for multi-day running in the mountains, each OMM Core product mixes thermal performance with the breathability, with a low weight and fast-drying action. Working in tandem with the body’s temperature to cool the wearer down when active, while remaining warm when static, the result is billed as a unique all-in-one lightweight solution.
