Quick-Step, the specialist in laminate, wood and vinyl floors, is extending its partnership with Belgian UCI WorldTeam cycling team Deceuninck–Quick-Step for another six seasons.
‘Representing the longest contract extension in the team’s history, Quick-Step is supporting the winning ambitions of the ‘Wolfpack’ until 2027.’
Quick-Step has been a sponsor of the top Belgian team for 23 years, making it one of the most enduring sponsors in professional cycling. The pro cycling outfit is led by Team Manager Patrick Lefevere.
“The decision to continue our sponsorship is self-evident to us,” said Ruben Desmet, President of Unilin Flooring, the company behind consumer brand, Quick-Step.
“We continue to grow strongly internationally with our brand. Of course, that has a lot to do with our excellent employees, partners & products, but the many successes of Patrick’s team have certainly increased awareness of our brand among the general public.
“We also share the same values that drive success – dare to dream and convert those dreams into results. The Wolfpack’s leadership in the peloton is renowned, and its continuous strive for excellence is something that’s in our DNA as well.”
Team CEO Patrick Lefevere said “We are happy to continue our partnership with Quick-Step, that has been at our side for two decades now. It’s more than your usual sponsor extension, it’s proof that solid relationships exist in cycling, based on trust, mutual respect and shared values.
“This long-term agreement will allow us to continue improving the quality of our performances, to focus on the future and remain among the best in the sport.
“I want to thank Ruben Desmet and the entire Quick-Step family for the confidence they have shown to the team, and we can’t wait to continue this incredible journey together, which so far has been so rewarding.”
The six-year contract extension also ensures the partnership can build on its successful history. “We strongly believe in cycling and the team. By entering a long-term commitment to provide stability, we are sure that the talent in the team will turn dreams into success,” Desmet concluded.
Quick-Step entered the cycling world in 1998, as a co-sponsor of the Mapei team. Five years later, in 2003, the brand became the main sponsor of the Quick-Step-Davitamon team. Since then, the team has become one of the most successful in cycling with more than 800 victories.
