The Pirelli Scorpion XC RC cross-country tyre, dedicated to MTB racing, is now available in a 2.4″ version for rims with wider channels.
The tyre is designed for competition and created to handle a variety of terrain, such as those normally encountered on modern Olympic Cross-Country tracks.
The new 29 x 2.4 size is offered in a LITE version, for those who look for maximum weight reduction, and in ProWALL for those who look for more protection on the sides and greater stability when cornering. It is available in the Team colour scheme, with yellow logos.
The 2.4 size has been developed by Pirelli in line with current standards to match mountain bike rims with a 30C internal channel.
The new tyre has already seen a podium finish in the World Cup circuit. Ondřej Cink (Team Kross Orlen) was second in both the XCO and short-track in Leogang, and Vlad Dascalu (Team TREK-PIRELLI) in his first full season in the Elite category, finished in 5th place in the same race in Leogang.
The new Pirelli Scorpion XC RC 2.4 is available, with a recommended retail price of €59.90 / £54.99 / US$74.90.
