Arima Cycle is inviting riders worldwide to join the ‘Arima & Mt Rokko Virtual Race 2021’ on Thursday, July 22nd at 15:00 JST (08:00 am CEST). Taking place on virtual cycling platform ROUVY, all participating riders can challenge the continental Japanese pros in the second virtual outing to the Arima Hot Spring, the oldest town of hot springs in Japan.
The virtual racing begins on the streets of Kobe, Hyōgo Prefecture, and snakes its way through the city, passing the metropolis. Winding through a few villages, the landscape of the virtual course gradually changes to a Japanese deep green forest. This gives the racers ‘plenty of space for peaceful, zen-like contemplation, inspiring riders to concentrate on nothing but turning the pedals to make it to the top.’
Riders will rush to the virtual summit of Mount Rokko in the 15km challenging uphill race with drafting on via the ROUVY platform.
Riders who reach the finish line in less than 60 minutes will have the chance to win prizes. The races will be live streamed on YouTube in Japanese.
In addition to ROUVY, event partners include Wahoo Fitness Japan, Sunvolt, Hyogo Esports Union and Mont-bell.
