Energy management specialist Supersapiens, which utilises Abbott’s Libre Sense Glucose Sport Biosensor, has unveiled a new version of its app. Connecting to the Abbott biosensor, the app provides users with an ongoing update of the body’s fuelling via glucose.
Supersapiens notes that… ‘The newest version of the Supersapiens app helps athletes like you implicitly understand where glucose levels should be, and when.
‘With a glance, quickly take action and maintain proper glucose levels whether you’re performing (stay in your Glucose Performance Zone) or recovering (stay in the blue zone). Simply give your body what it needs to perform longer and recover stronger.’

The Supersapiens app can now import data from TrainingPeaks, automatically pulling in exercise events and metrics, including pace, power, heart rate, distance, and speed. These data points are seen as Events in the Supersapiens app to add more context around a user’s glucose data. More
Events in the Supersapiens app help users dial in their nutrition strategies. Adding more Events will allow the system to learn and deliver deeper fuelling and performance insights. Capturing Events is also made easier and automatic by connecting to Apple Health.
The Supersapiens app also streams live glucose data directly to compatible Garmin devices. Here’s users can observe continuous glucose and real-time fuelling data while training, performing, and recovering.
A partnership with global healthcare leader Abbott makes Supersapiens the only energy management system that directly integrates with a Bluetooth-enabled sports CGM (continuous glucose monitor) — the Abbott Libre Sense Glucose Sport Biosensor.
The Supersapiens product ecosystem is now available in Austria, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. Access to other markets is pending regulatory approval.
