Officine Mattio has launched the OM1 S, a new carbon monocoque road bike made in Cuneo, Italy.
The Italian custom bike specialist has previously designed models in carbon fibre, made in Italy, utilising double wrapping technology, or has produced tailor-made solutions in steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
What separates this new model from the others is its production: the frame is made by Officine Mattio (OM) and the words ‘Made in Cuneo’ can be found on the bike as a… ‘distinctive element of the company’s manufacturing philosophy.’
The company adds that… ‘it’s the first of many products to come: not only are they 100% Made in Italy, they are also produced in the Cuneo area, located between the Alps and the sea, where the young brand has its roots.’

With a focus on power, stability and reliability, the new OM1 S has an integrated handlebar in carbon fibre, designed and manufactured for Officine Mattio.
The handlebar has an aerodynamic shape, features a special collar connecting the steering column to the headtube, helping to make the handlebar-steerer-fork combination streamlined.
The lack of a brake bridge, which normally connects the seat stays and up to now has been the signature element of Officine Mattio frames, is another feature of our new aesthetic.
The lower chain stays are slightly arched at the height of the dropout, the oversize headset rests directly on the fork. The cables are fully integrated, regardless of the groupset chosen.
The OM1 S is a monocoque product, and as such comes in sizes XS-S-M-L-XL. However, the company also gives customers the opportunity to set the bike’s aesthetics by choosing from varying colour combinations and graphic customisations.
Officine Mattio currently offers eight different set-ups, including the new Shimano Dura Ace Di2 and Ultegra groupsets as well as SRAM Force AXS. The handlebar and the fork are manufactured by Officine Mattio. The bike also includes Pirelli P Zero tyres and a Selle Italia saddle.
Price of complete bike, starting from: €5,990 (excluding VAT). Price of frame kit alone (frame, fork, headset, OM integrated handlebar, OM seatpost, OM thru-axles): €4,250 (excluding VAT).
