Polar has been named a ‘Best Company to Work for in New York for 2010’ by the New York State Society for Human Resource Management and Best Companies Group. The award recognises leading companies for their workplace policies, practices, philosophies, systems and demographics (25% of the evaluation), and results from an employee survey to measure their experiences (75% of the evaluation).

Polar has developed a number of creative recognition programmes, and employee wellness initiatives that make use of its own technology. One programme, known as ‘Keeps U Fit’, encourages employees to lead healthy and active lives, learn more about Polar products, and get others involved.
Participants who improve their fitness and achieve or exceed their calorie burning goals on a quarterly basis also receive special rewards and incentives from the company.
