ROUVY has signed a partnership agreement with Belgiumm firm Animotion to boost its activities and grow its community in the Benelux region – spanning Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
Animotion, headquartered in Zottegem, Belgium, has signed the multi-year partnership agreement with VirtualTraining s.r.o. located in the Czech Republic. The new deal will see the creation of bike courses and run events for the ROUVY virtual platform.
‘Animotion will ensure accelerated course production and aid the local event management for ROUVY.’
“The most amazing feature of ROUVY is that it can provide a live-action virtual sports experience,” said Jan Morre, CEO at Animotion BV.
“It gives athletes from around the world a real impression of being there and will let them discover our local landscapes’. By producing high quality courses we want to make people all over the world enjoy virtual sports and the Benelux region.
“Our partnership with ROUVY is a perfect fit to our company mission which is to activate and connect the world by sports.”
ROUVY’s platform overlays 3D objects within 2D geo-synced video. According to the Czech-based virtual specialist, this… ‘allows the app to teleport the virtual athlete model to any part of the world creating an unprecedented level of realism and presence.’
