A new collaboration between cycling apparel specialist MAAP and NYC outerwear brand, The Arrivals, expands on the Alt_Road range launched by MAAP in 2021.
According to Australian firm MAAP, its on-bike performance has been matched with The Arrivals off-bike ethos to blur the boundaries between the individual and the elements.
‘Engineered for the alternative, each brand brings a mix of their unique signature apparel and accessories, like The Arrivals Haelo Packable Jacket and ultra-light cap to MAAP’s Alt_Road Cargo Bibs, Polartec Ride Tees and durable abrasion resistant socks; all deeply rooted in function-driven design.
‘A colour palette reminiscent of the earthy rolling plains of the desert cohesively collides throughout this collection. With tonal names such as Cedar, Rose Quartz, Sand and the classic Black, choose to colour block or mix and match with no detail left untouched.’
“MAAP is always looking to up the ante with every product launch, innovating and expanding into new categories like adventure apparel for the Alt_Road,” said Oliver Cousins, MAAP Co-Founder.
“We’ve been fans and friends with The Arrivals for some time now, connected by our passion for design aesthetic and love for the bike. We’re stoked to bring a new take to some of our high-performance and most technical riding essentials through this collection.”
Jeffrey Johnson, Co-Founder of The Arrivals, said “As a founder, outdoor addict, and avid cyclist, it’s been captivating to observe the evolution of cycling apparel from niche-sport, to a broader cultural zeitgeist.
“From the onset, the ambition of The Arrivals + MAAP Alt_Road collaboration has been to push that evolution forward, blurring the lines between sport and culture to create truly innovative products for all conditions ‘OutThere’.”
