Gesellschaft zur Förderung des Radsports (GFR), the race event organizer behind Eschborn-Frankfurt and the Deutschland Tour, will host a virtual German Classic on ROUVY.
Taking place at the same time as the actual race, on May 1st, the international community will be able to watch and race Eschborn-Frankfurt from home.
This is the third virtual outing of the event, thanks to a tie-up between ROUVY and GFR. Virtual event participants will ride on a shorter loop of Eschborn-Frankfurt, the ŠKODA VELOTOUR course.
Matthias Pietsch, Project Manager of Eschborn-Frankfurt said “The collaboration between GFR and ROUVY is going great, as we see the actual and international participation in our bike festival going up every year.

During May 2022, Eschborn-Frankfurt will host a series of events on ROUVY. A virtual cycling challenge runs from April 25 to May 22, while the main virtual race takes place on May 1, 13:00 CEST.
The elite World Tour race course is 185 km long. The road course on ROUVY is a shorter version with 40.5km distance and 307m of virtual altitude. The route will have a similar branding of start and finish arches, as well as other real-life objects.
