MAAP’s latest apparel capsule features two new collections, Axis and Fuse. According to MAAP, both of these take a ‘deconstructed, transformative approach to MAAP’s graphic language.’
‘Inspired by the maximally expressive jersey designs found in professional racing’s heyday, combined with MAAP’s design aesthetic, both collections are available in men’s and women’s versions of the signature Pro Jersey.’
Drawing on inspiration from pro racing jerseys of the 80s and 90s, MAAP has also aimed to infuse its own signature style. The collection includes matching jerseys, bibs and accessories.
Axis also comes in long-sleeve options. Each jersey is made from majority recycled yarn in a combination of three materials to maximise its breathable, lightweight and moisture-wicking qualities.
The three rear pockets also feature an anti-sag material. This aims to keep all essentials locked down for the ride. Rated SPF 50+ and using sustainably manufactured materials with the bluesign system, the Axis and Fuse jerseys also seek to be good for the planet. Riders can pick up a matching Axis Team Bib Evo along with musettes, bottles and a Pro Air Cap.
“With the Axis collection we’re connecting cycling design heritage with a contemporary MAAP point of view,” said Misha Glisovic, MAAP COO.
“We had a rich pool of influences to draw upon from the world of ’80s and ’90s team racing, as so many radical kits captured our imaginations. We really wanted to rip up the rulebook with this collection.”
