VGL Solid Group has extended its cooperation with the IRONMAN Poland team. This year will be the sixth year that the logistics firm coordinates the supply chain during Enea IRONMAN Gdynia.
The cooperation between one of the leaders in the logistics market in Poland and the Sport Evolution agency, the sole organizer of IRONMAN competitions in Poland, has been extended for another year. Enea IRONMAN Gdynia takes place on August 7, 2022.
“The fact that we can be part of the Enea IRONMAN Gdynia is primarily the result of our many years of experience in the industry,” said Katarzyna Jankowska, HR Director and Member of the Management Board of VGL Solid Group.
“For years, we have also been trying to prove that the essence of corporate social responsibility is particularly close to the mission and values of our organization. We want to actively support activities for the surrounding environment or community. That is why, despite the fact that we operate and think on a global scale, we do not forget about our local environment.”
VGL Solid Group, as a logistics operator, has been coordinating the supply chain during Enea IRONMAN Gdynia for six years and is responsible for the distribution facilities of this event – both before the competition, as well as return transport after the competition, warehouse operations and the organization of nutrition points on the cycling and running routes.
“Organizing the Enea IRONMAN Gdynia competition, in which several thousand people take part in three days, is a huge challenge,” said Michał Drelich, Director of IRONMAN Poland.
“Preparations for each edition last practically the whole year, and the complete equipment and equipment necessary to conduct the competition can be found on several trucks and several hundred pallets.
“The momentum of the triathlon competition under the name of IRONMAN requires cooperation with logistics experts. So, we are very happy that we can count on the experience of VGL Solid Group for another year.”
VGL Solid Group not only supports the event’s logistics, but also actively participates in the event itself, as competitors and volunteers. This year, a team of VGL athletes consists of employees and partners of the company, and again take part in the Gdynia competition.
