A livestream of the 2022 edition of Ultra Marin has been released, showcasing the event’s varying race formats. This year, the 17th edition of the trail running event in France, held in the Golf of Morbihan, takes place from June 30 to July 3.
The first two races of the event, the 100km Raid and the 175km Grand Raid started today, Friday, June 1st.
To launch the event, the 100km Raid start from the port of Crouesty at 14:00 CET. The Grand Raid starts at 18:00 from Vannes habour, followed this year by the Grand Relay and the Grand Défi Solidaire.
Then, for most of the competitors, there will be one or two nights of racing through coastal paths, small beaches, moors, rocks, and pine woods. The runners will cross the entry of the Gulf of Morbihan, taking them from Locmariaquer to Port Navalo.
The organisers have reported growth in registrations. For the first time, there will be more than 8,900 participants. The 34km Ronde des Douaniers attracted the most runners and saw its number of registrations peak at 2,026 participants.
