This year, Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Poznań took place on September 4, 2022, with the event starting at Lake Kierskie, located just outside the city in Poland. The location is strongly tied to Polish triathlon history, having been the venue of the first ever triathlon in the country, back in 1984.
The Enea Group has been supporting IRONMAN in Poland for a number years. The tie-up between one of the leaders of the energy market in the country and the Sport Evolution agency, the organizer of IRONMAN events in Poland, was recently extended for another year – with the addition of the race in Poznań also included in 2022.
“Poznań is a special city for us; this is where Enea has its headquarters,” said Paweł Szczeszek, President of Enea.
“The region of north-west Poland is also the area where most of our clients live. I hope that Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Poznań, powered by energy from Enea, will permanently enter the triathlon calendar, as one of the largest and best events in the country.”
In 2022, six races under the IRONMAN brand will take place in Poland:

- Citi Handlowy 5150 Warsaw – June 12, 2022;
- Enea IRONMAN Gdynia – August 7, 2022;
- Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia – August 7, 2022;
- Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Poznań – September 4, 2022;
- Enea 5150 Poznań – September 4, 2022.
