UK: The Running Conference 2023 announces hosts and partners

Hosts announced for The Running Conference 2023

The Running Conference 2023 (#TRC23) will take place from the 10th to 12th December at the Holywell Park Conference Centre, Loughborough University. The conference, exclusively open to members of the Running Industry Alliance (RIA), has officially opened its early-bird registration.

Hosts announced for #TRC23, include Matt and Vanessa taking centre stage. Matt, a professional Sports Announcer and Commentator with over 12 years of experience, is the host and producer of the “Running Industry Alliance Podcast in association with supersonic.” He made his mark as a host at The Running Conference 2022 and is returning to inspire the audience once again. Joining him is Vanessa, an energetic and dynamic presenter with a background in Performing Arts. She has honed her skills as a presenter and host at various live events, including the Olympic Torch Relay in 2012 and local 5Ks, marathons, and triathlons across the UK for the past 15 years.

In a new development, The Running Channel has become the official co-host of #TRC23, partnering with RIA. The Running Channel, a Foundation Member of RIA, aims to provide great content for running enthusiasts of all abilities worldwide. As a video publisher claiming the fastest-growing audience of runners in the world, their flagship YouTube channel boasts over 600,000 subscribers and 2,000,000 monthly channel views. Andy, the CEO of The Running Channel and Presenter, brings a wealth of experience to the stage. Having competed in two Olympic Games over 1500m and making the final in Beijing in 2008, he finished the same year ranked number one in the world over a mile. Co-Founder of The Running Channel, Andy is passionate about helping runners from all walks of life.

Another prominent figure from The Running Channel, Sarah, the Production Lead, will join Andy on stage at #TRC23. As the driving force behind producing all video content, Sarah also hosts The Running Channel Podcast and presents a wide range of content, from how-to videos to epic running challenges. With her extensive experiences, including running her first marathon and first ultramarathon in Thailand, Sarah aims to inspire a global audience of runners.

The Running Conference #TRC23 promises a wealth of engaging content tailored to the running industry. Attendees can look forward to conference sessions, panel discussions, activations, “first look” market research, data and insights, round table discussions, and ample networking opportunities. The focus of the content revolves around RIA and Members’ work from 2023 to 2028 and will explore vital aspects like The Market Place, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Health and Wellbeing, Sustainability, Research, Data and Insights, and the Future of running.
