The Warmshowers.org Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to connecting touring cyclists with hosts worldwide, has unveiled new features that aim to facilitate a more seamless travel experience, making it easier for cyclists and hosts to connect and share.
Via the Warmshowers.org website, a new calendar system allows users to secure their stay in real-time, so they no longer have to wait days for email replies. Cyclists can also browse host availability and book stays in advance, while hosts can manage their schedules by blocking out unavailable dates.
To enhance trust and transparency within the community, Warmshowers.org has a 5-star rating system. Cyclists and hosts can leave star ratings and written reviews, aiding future users in making informed decisions and fostering a sense of accountability.
The new website features inspiring stories on the blog through to valuable hosting and riding resources, FAQs, and informative videos available captioned in English, French, Spanish, German, and Italian.
Tahverlee Anglen, Executive Director at Warmshowers.org Foundation, said “For years, the Warmshowers community has thrived on the spirit of connection and shared adventure.
“These new website features foster deeper connections and richer experiences for cyclists and hosts. Imagine seamlessly finding welcoming homes worldwide, leaving genuine feedback, and building lasting friendships – that’s the Warmshowers community, and we’re thrilled to invite everyone to participate.”
Established in 1993, Warmshowers.org facilitates connections between touring cyclists and hosts. With around 200,000 users, it is a go-to platform for connecting cyclists and hosts worldwide.
