Developed in collaboration with professional triathletes sponsored by Santini and originally initiated in 2019, the Santini x IRONMAN collection has expanded with two new lines, Enigma and Viper Zephyr, available in both men’s and women’s versions.
The Enigma line features a short-sleeved triathlon top, a sleeveless top, and men’s triathlon shorts, as well as a women’s triathlon top and shorts.
The design is aimed to be minimalist but highly visible. The IRONMAN logo has been positioned with a well-defined font, resembling a series of black dots. The body has been designed to ensure optimal fit and high-level performance. Made with a fabric that promotes quick drying, it enhances performance during swimming and transitions between disciplines.
A honeycomb internal grip on the bottom of the legs helps with fit. Mesh sides and sleeves increase breathability, offering UPF30 protection. The double rear pockets with side openings are practical for storing bars and gels.
The exclusive IMG triathlon-specific chamois with Tower Gel core ensures comfort, absorbing shocks during cycling without retaining water during swimming.
The Viper Zephyr line’s design is based on an interplay of colours and contrasts, mixing retro pixels with modern and abstract graphics reminiscent of gemstones and constellations.
The Viper Zephyr has been developed by Santini for its professional athletes. It offers an aerodynamic fit with elongated sleeves and legs, optimized for performance during the cycling phase of longer distance triathlons.
Made with wind tunnel-tested fabrics to maximize aerodynamic efficiency, the Viper Zephyr apparel body is made of Arctic fabric UPF50+ to protect against harmful UV rays. The sleeves are finished with thermowelding to keep them in place, while the shorts are made of a compression fabric with a raw-cut for better grip on the lower leg.
Viper Zephyr features the IMG chamois, specifically designed for triathlon and made with a Tower Gel core, with a structure that consists of small ‘towers’ that are taller in the area of the sit bones and thinner towards the edges of the chamois, to absorb shocks more effectively. It is a thin and lightweight chamois, quick-drying. Santini adds that it does not absorb water and guarantees greater breathability than a normal gel.
