Scimitar Sports gets behind sold-out Triathlon Industry Conference (TIC24)

The Triathlon Industry Association (TIA) has confirmed Scimitar Sports as a partner for the first-ever ‘Triathlon Industry Conference Powered by Scimitar’ (TIC24), which has now sold out ahead of its debut on Monday December 9, 2024, in Loughborough, UK.

Organised in partnership with Running Industry Alliance following the merger in July, TIC24 has attracted triathlon’s most influential leaders, with a jam-packed itinerary of insightful discussions and networking opportunities. Featuring high-profile speakers and panellists from across the industry, the conference is set to tackle the challenges and opportunities facing the sport in a post-pandemic world.

As a partner of the event, Scimitar Sports looks to bring its expertise in sustainable, high-performance sportswear to the forefront of the triathlon conversation. Their commitment to innovation and community-building underscores the importance of partnerships like this in driving the sport forward.

Alex Best, Head of Sales at Scimitar Sports, said “Scimitar have been creating high-quality custom clothing for the running and triathlon scene for many, many years and are thrilled to have partnered with RIA and TIA.

“To be powering the inaugural Triathlon Industry Conference is something we didn’t want to miss out on, and for the event to be a sell-out in year one just shows how important an event this is to the industry.”

The Triathlon Industry Conference Powered by Scimitar will be an immersive day, and will be hosted by Annie Emmerson, a three-time Olympic commentator for the BBC and a renowned voice in international triathlon coverage.

Annie will guide delegates through the panels, with discussions and key takeaways for all attendees. Highlights of the itinerary include:

This panel will explore participation trends, governance, and the future of the sport.
  • Reaching the Audience: Panelists including Bianca Fernandez-Clark (Chair, Fund Her Tri UK), Tim Lloyd (MD, Always Aim High Events) and Nick Shakinovsky (Chief Content Officer, T100 Triathlon World Tour) will delve into media strategies and growing multisport participation.
  • Growing the Community: With Francesca Barber (Comic Relief), Andy Biggs (Durham Triathlon Club), Philip Hatzis (Tri Training Harder), Phil Murphy (Total Tri Training), this session will examine the critical roles of clubs, coaches, and charities.
