Swiss sportswear brand On is expanding its trail running offering with the launch of the Ultra Collection, led by two new trail shoes – the Cloudultra Pro and the Cloudultra 3 – designed for ultra-distance racing and performance-focused trail running.
The Cloudultra Pro will be available from June 19, 2025, while the Cloudultra 3 follows on July 3. An Ultra apparel line will roll out in phases across the summer.
Developed through lab testing and athlete input, the Cloudultra Pro is positioned as On’s most advanced ultra-distance trail shoe to date. It features:
- A dual-layer Helion HF hyper foam midsole
- A propulsion Speedboard for enhanced running economy and energy return
- Next-generation Missiongrip with outsole lugs refined using finite element analysis (FEA) software and field-tested for optimal traction
Also built around the Helion HF midsole, the Cloudultra 3 draws from the On brand’s elite trail models to deliver energy return and cushioning for long-distance efforts, but with a focus on accessibility for a broader range of runners.
In addition to the two trail shoes, On is introducing a full Ultra Collection apparel range, including:
- July 3 release: Ultra-T, Ultra Shorts, Ultra Cap, Merino Ultra Socks, Ultra Vest Pro, Ultra Quiver
- August 7 release: Ultra Jacket, Ultra Pants
On adds that each item has been engineered for breathability, comfort and function using lightweight materials suited for high-performance trail conditions.
