Pearson Cycles has confirmed the extension of its partnership with Spectra Racing, a British team across multiple cycling disciplines.
Based in Bakewell, Derbyshire, Spectra Racing fields a squad of 10 men and women across both road and off-road categories. Under the partnership, Spectra Racing riders will compete on Pearson’s UCI-approved On and On Race gravel race bike.
First under way in 2024, the partnership has already delivered strong results, including Xan Crees’ British National Cyclocross Championship triumph and Anna Flynn’s Scottish National Cyclocross title last season on the original On and On bike. Dan Barnes was another rider with success, placing third overall in last season’s British Cyclocross National Championships. Whilst on the road, Jess Roberts secured third place at the British National Circuit Championships.
In addition to supporting rider performances, Pearson’s engineering team also receives ongoing rider feedback which contributes to bike development.
For the remainder of the 2025 gravel season and the upcoming 2025/26 cyclocross season, the Spectra riders will line up aboard the On and On Race, equipped with 815 GRX Di2 and ERE Omnia CL45 wheels.
“This partnership has always been about supporting British talent and delivering high-performance bikes for top-level racing,” said Scott Davies, Pearson’s Chief Executive Officer.
“At Pearson, we take on board feedback from the team, which helps us fine-tune and further develop our race bikes. Working closely with key Spectra Racing riders this year, we refined the On and On Adventure to be able to design a pure racing machine – the On and On Race.
“We’re looking forward to continuing that product development process and providing bikes the team can push to the limits at the highest level of racing in the UK.”
Gina Ball, Spectra Racing’s Team Manager, said “Working with Pearson has given our riders a voice in the design process and turned it into performance gains. The collaboration and our direct involvement mean our riders get the best setup possible for the season ahead.
“The new On and On Race has already received rave reviews from the riders; they’re very happy with the equipment. The bikes and ERE wheels look incredible. We’ve already been called ‘intimidating’ this season because of how sharp everything looks.
“Being recognised by such a prestigious brand as Pearson, which supports British racing, and we’re excited for what’s to come this cyclocross season.”
