USA Triathlon’s Endurance Exchange conference is set to begin on January 9, 2026, in Orlando, FL. The three-day event at the Caribe Royale Orlando brings together coaches, race directors, club leaders, and athletes for professional development and networking.
As a conference for endurance sports professionals in the US, the schedule features educational sessions and USA Triathlon’s annual State of the Sport presentation. This presentation provides the national governing body’s perspectives on the endurance sports industry, including participation trends and demographic data.
The current multisport community in the US reflects a broad range of participants. According to USA Triathlon data, approximately 85% of its members identify as White, while Hispanic or Latino athletes represent roughly 5% of the membership. Asian and Black athletes each comprise about 2% to 3% of the total membership base.
Rowdy Gaines, a three-time Olympic gold medallist and NBC broadcaster, will deliver the keynote address on January 10, 2026. Gaines, who won three gold medals at the 1984 Olympic Games, will focus his talk on leadership, resilience, and high performance.
Elite endurance coach and sports scientist Dan Lorang will also present. Lorang, who coaches Olympic medallist Taylor Knibb and IRONMAN world champion Lucy Charles-Barclay, will lead a panel discussion on the coach–athlete relationship on January 9, 2026. He is also scheduled to speak on building high-performance team cultures on January 10, 2026.
The event includes accredited sessions led by performance experts covering training science, coaching methodology, and athlete development. This enables USAT affiliated professionals to earn continuing education units (CEUs).
