Merrell has launched the Agility Peak 6, which it describes as its most capable max-cushion trail running shoe to date. The new model is designed to support a range of activities, from introductory trail sessions to 100km races.
The shoe has been developed with a ‘nothing but the run’ philosophy, aimed at removing distractions through improved comfort and performance. According to the company, the Agility Peak 6 is intended to work seamlessly with the athlete, allowing them to remain focused on rhythm and terrain.
Technical updates to the shoe include a revised FloatPro foam midsole designed to provide resilient cushioning and a smooth ride. The shoe also incorporates Merrell’s full-length FLEXconnect technology to deliver adaptive stability on uneven ground, which helps to reduce strain on the feet and ankles.
For traction, the Agility Peak 6 uses a Vibram Megagrip outsole featuring 5mm traction lugs. This is intended to provide consistent grip on wet, loose, and rocky surfaces.
The upper has been redesigned with a Leno-weave engineered mesh to balance breathability with durability. Additional protective features include a reinforced toe box, a protective mudguard to defend against trail debris such as rocks and roots, and a fully gusseted tongue.

The Agility Peak 6 is priced at £145.00 in the UK market. Merrell is also offering a waterproof Agility Peak 6 GORE-TEX version for wet-weather conditions, which is priced at £170.00.
