Fuelin has added the V.O2 training platform to its integrated ecosystem, allowing runners who follow VDOT–based programmes to access nutrition guidance that automatically adjusts to structured workouts.
The integration enables V.O2 users to connect accounts to Fuelin to receive nutrition recommendations. These respond to specific VDOT training sessions, such as aerobic runs or high–intensity interval sessions.
Fuelin is a nutrition coaching app that integrates with platforms such as Garmin and Strava to create personalised daily nutrition plans. It is used by professional athletes including Jan Frodeno, Daniela Ryf, and Holly Lawrence.
V.O2, based in Flagstaff, AZ, provides structured running training using the VDOT methodology developed by coach Jack Daniels. It provides individualised training paces and structured workouts for runners.
Scott Tindal, Co–founder of Fuelin, said “We’re thrilled to welcome V.O2’s community of dedicated runners. Their runners follow Jack Daniels’ proven VDOT system with individualised training paces for every workout. Now they can access a nutrition coach that adapts their fueling automatically based on whether they complete a threshold run or a recovery session.”
When V.O2 users plan and complete VDOT–based workouts, their data syncs to the Fuelin platform. The app then analyses specific training paces – including Easy, Marathon, Threshold, Interval, or Rep pace – to provide recommendations for recovery and preparation.
Brian Rosetti, Founder of V.O2, said “V.O2 athletes are defined by their commitment to precision and individualised training. By integrating with Fuelin, we are closing the loop between exertion and recovery. Our athletes can now apply the same VDOT–level accuracy to their nutrition that they’ve always brought to their workouts, ensuring every run is fueled to maximize their fitness progression.”
Key features of the integration for V.O2 users include:
- Pace-specific nutrition with different fuelling strategies for each VDOT training pace
- Automatic adaptation where nutrition recommendations adjust as a VDOT score improves
- Recovery optimisation where post-workout nutrition matches actual training stress
- Seamless connection with no manual logging required as workouts sync automatically
- V.O2 users can access the Fuelin integration through their app connection settings. Once linked, nutrition recommendations will adapt to planned and completed workouts in V.O2.
The V.O2 integration expands the reach of Fuelin within the running community. Fuelin added that this approach allows it to serve athletes regardless of their preferred training system or app.
