Race Space acquires Racecheck to integrate reviews and registration for mass participation events

Race Space has unveiled a new group proposition, bringing together the Race Space Accelerator, Racecheck, and the Race Space Platform under a single unified brand.

The consolidation follows the acquisition of event reviews platform Racecheck, and aims to create a unified solution combining specialist marketing, registration technology, and participant reviews.

Race Space noted that its updated strategy addresses market fragmentation, offering race directors an integrated service spanning the entire participant journey rather than requiring separate vendors for registration and marketing.

Bruno Noble, Managing Director of Race Space, said “We have spent years working alongside race directors and seeing the same challenges play out time and again. Growing a mass participation event takes the right tools, the right data and the right expertise working together, and until now, organisers have had to piece that together themselves from multiple providers.

“Our aim is to change that by giving organisers access to a team that can support them across the entire participant journey, from the moment someone discovers their event to the point they come back the following year.”

Core operational pillars

  • Race Space Accelerator: A performance-based marketing service where fees are tied directly to entry growth, aligning commercial incentives with event performance.
  • Racecheck: A participant review platform hosting over 120,000 reviews across 1,500 event organisers globally. Racecheck Premium users report an average 22% increase in conversion rates.
  • Race Space Platform: A bespoke registration and participant management system designed to streamline the entry flow and maximise customer retention.

According to Race Space, events utilising the Race Space Accelerator have recorded an average of 35% registration growth in their first year. Growth figures across partner events include:

  • English Riviera Festival: 105% registration growth
  • Born Survivor (Cheshire): 97% registration growth and record revenues, supported by a video-first social strategy yielding a 590% increase in Facebook views and a 220% increase in Instagram views
  • Maroondah Dam: 93% registration growth
  • Brimbank Park: 63% registration growth

Rob Arkell, Sales Director at Race Space, added “What Race Space now offers is something genuinely different: independent participant reviews that build trust, registration technology designed to convert that interest into entries, and a specialist marketing team focused entirely on growing mass participation events.

“Through the Accelerator, we share the risk with organisers and our success is directly tied to the growth we deliver. That changes the relationship from simply being another supplier to becoming a genuine growth partner.”
