Boston-based New Balance Athletic Shoe Inc has demonstrated its concentrated focus on growing the company’s lifestyle category with the recent restructure of the lifestyle strategic business unit. Included in the restructure is the promotion of Joe Casagrande as General Manager, Lifestyle and the hiring of Steve Gardner, Strategic Business Unit Manager, Lifestyle.
New Balance stated that it remains on target to reach a revenue goal of US$3 billion by 2012. The decision to restructure the lifestyle business unit is in line with the global effort to establish this category as a core New Balance offering in the global footwear market.
