As talk of tri teams continues to make waves in triathlon communities across the globe, Louis Garneau has announced its worldwide sponsorship of teamTBB. Under the deal, Louis Garneau will become the official helmet and cycling shoe sponsor of teamTBB racing and training. The tie-up also provides Louis Garneau with an opportunity to expand its distribution in Asia.
Singapore-based teamTBB is a major player in professional triathlon – representing and managing 30 athletes of 15 nationalities. Led by founder Alex Bok, teamTBB works to develop world champion athletes, specifically in triathlon and bike-related sports, through training camps, knowledge workshops and coaching.
In addition to its professional and amateur athlete programmes, teamTBB also works to bolster youth participation in multi-sport events through its social development projects and its franchise, The Bike Boutique. The Bike Boutique not only sells bikes and bike accessories, but also provides lifestyle services to bike enthusiasts and encourages cycling as a means of transportation.
Throughout 2010, teamTBB will be utilising Louis Garneau products such as the time trial Superleggera helmet and Carbon Tri HRS ((Heel Retention System) triathlon shoe.
