As the international federation for the sport of triathlon, the International Triathlon Union (ITU) is committed to driving research in the field and is sanctioning the first ever World Conference of Science in Triathlon.
The conference is hosted by Centro Superior de Idiomas at the University of Alicante and is slated to take place from 24-26 March in Alicante, located in south eastern Spain. The inaugural conference will bring together experts from around the globe in physical and medical science.
Over three days, the World Conference of Science in Triathlon will explore a range of topics that will be presented by prominent keynote speakers.
Speakers include: Gregoire Millet of the University of Lausanne; renowned running coach Bobby McGee; Randall Wilber, Senior Sport Physiologist with the United States Olympic Committee; and Jan Olbrecht, lecturer at the Coaches Academy in Cologne, Germany and the University of Ghent and the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium.
