USM Events – the race organiser behind the popular Noosa Triathlon in Queensland, Australia – has confirmed that the 2013 Noosa Triathlon event will take place on 3 November 2013. Priority entry for registered Triathlon Australia (TA) members opens shortly, although this is only for those members who joined TA prior to midnight on Sunday 4 November.
Triathlon Australia (TA) members’ Priority Entry for individual and teams will open online at noosatri.com.au for TA Annual Members on Thursday 8 November at 09:00 QLD time until Friday 9 November at 17:00.
Individual and team entries for the general public will open online at noosatri.com.au at 09:00 QLD on Tuesday 13 November.
Noosa is a 5 day festival of sport and entertainment, which this year ran from 31 October to 4 November. Noosa has events for the sporting enthusiast, elite athletes and celebrities in one of Australia’s most popular destinations. As Australia’s largest, oldest and highest profile triathlon event, the main Noosa Triathlon Olympic distance race is one of the most iconic races, recognized worldwide for its unique festival format.
Beyond Australia, Noosa is amongst the largest triathlon events worldwide – as it attracts over 8,500 triathlon competitors and over 14,000 across the wider festival. An estimated 50,000 spectators visited the festival in 2012, helping to inject millions of dollars into the local economy.
