A long-established relationship with an iconic cycling event in the US will continue well into the future, as Primal announced yesterday that the apparel-maker has signed a five-year agreement with RAGBRAI – the Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa – to be the official apparel provider.
Cementing a long-term relationship also recognizes Primal as a ‘Friend of RAGBRAI’, a special designation given to partners who make the annual event possible.
“Primal has been outfitting RAGBRAIers in high-quality cycling apparel for many years and miles,” said T.J. Juskiewicz, Director of RAGBRAI. “Primal’s commitment to promotion and advocacy for cycling and designs that truly capture the essence of our event make Primal a great fit for RAGBRAI!”
Primal has worked with RAGBRAI since 2006, providing both official event apparel as well as special designs to support promotions such as College Spirit Day during the ride. Primal also works with individual teams and clubs that participate in the event.
The next instalment of the annual seven-day RAGBRAI takes place on 21-27 July 2013 and will take cyclists approximately 450 miles from the Missouri River on the state’s western edge to the Mighty Mississippi on the eastern border. The official route for 2013 will be announced in January.
“RAGBRAI has and continues to be one of the most recognized, loved and efficiently run cycling events in the world,” said Primal founder and CEO Dave Edwards. “We’re thrilled that this new agreement extends an already fabulous relationship to greater heights of involvement and partnership for both Primal and RAGBRAI.”
Primal, founded in 1992, has emerged as a leading designer and manufacturer of premier cycling apparel for teams, clubs and events around the world. Primal is committed to the progression of cycling for all abilities and is dedicated to promoting and sponsoring events that benefit people’s lives.
The brand’s mission is to provide the highest-quality cycling apparel available while fostering the growth of cycling through competition, community, and advocacy.
