Diverse exhibitor line-up for this year’s Running Show

The Running Show organisers have today announced a stellar line-up of exhibitors for 2012. Held on 24-25 November at Sandown Park, Surrey, the dedicated run show for the UK caters for all runners and enthusiasts, from the casual beginner through to the veteran marathon runner.

Among the exhibitors at this year’s Running Show is Physio4Life who will be operating a Sports Injuries Clinic. Physio4Life’s specialists – including those that worked with TeamGB Olympians – will be on hand to provide sports massage, physio and biomechanics analysis. Physio4Life will also be offering Sweat Testing, providing an accurate reading of the level of sodium lost during exercise.

Sodium is the main electrolyte lost in sweat and every individual has different levels of loss that remain relatively consistent throughout a lifetime. The results of the Sweat Test allow a runner to find the best hydration strategy, enabling the replacement of lost sodium and preventing under-performance and cramping.

Sub-4 Biomechanics will also be at the Running Show and will have its team of highly trained podiatrists and physiotherapists to offer free assessments to establish any biomechanical weaknesses in posture, offering solutions to sports injuries through bespoke sports orthotics.

The Running School will be launching its new Marathon Package at the show. The package will include technique coaching, strength, discounted treatments and a personalised training programme to help runners achieve their marathon goals.

The world-renowned Surrey Human Performance Institute is taking bookings for its Advice Clinic, offering a range of sessions, from maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max) and Anaerobic Threshold testing; the ‘gold standard’ of fitness tests. It is also offering sessions on body composition strength and conditioning, yoga and nutrition. Runners can also get advice from the experts in sports rehabilitation and run coaching.

The show’s media partner, Runner’s World is offering its training plan service to all visitors, providing marathon training plans to take away.

Exciting product launches are also expected from various exhibitors, including running shoe brands Mizuno and On. Other running shoes on offer from retail partners include Newton Running, Brooks, Asics, Adidas and New Balance.

There will also be a strong presence from the nutrition industry, with GU, ZipVit, Neovite, CherryActive, Clif Bar, Torq Fitness and USN all being available with special prices and nutrition experts on offer.

Wattbike will also be on hand to offer essential cross-training advice for cardiovascular work through the chilly and dark winter days. Visitors can book a 15 minute one-to-one session by going to wattbike.com/run.

Shock Absorber, Skins, Ultimate Performance Running Accessories, newline, Soleus Sports Watches, Crewroom, Balega, Less Bounce, Joggingbuddy.com, Hilly Clothing company, CompresSport, Gore Running Wear, 2XU, Berlei, Nip Guards, Shamir, Running Skirts, Pro-Tec and 1000 Mile Sportswear are just some of the other brands that will be on hand to provide advice and special offers at the Running Show.

For the first year ever, the Running Show will be held at Sandown Park in Esher, Surrey. New also to 2012 is the fact that entry will be free to those who pre-register. For those turning up on the day it will be £12 on the door.

There is car and secure cycle parking at Sandown Park. The car park is £5 for the day. Those arriving by train should go to Esher station where it is a ten minute walk to the venue.

Address: Sandown Park Exhibition Centre, Portsmouth Road, Esher, Surrey KT10 9AJ.
