Emilio De Soto has recently bought 50% of the total shares of the privately held De Soto Clothing Inc stock from one of the last remaining original shareholders. The share transaction amount was undisclosed. This move now positions the company as being solely owned by its founder, Emilio De Soto.
That last original shareholder is triathlete and Southern California native, Dan Neyenhuis, who has ‘been known for many years as Emilio’s best friend, and the recent godfather of his first son.’
“Emilio and I have had a great run with this company,” said Dan. “We have done real estate development projects, started and sold a triathlon internet auction site, we have travelled the world together, and we are still close partners in another venture, all thanks to the success of De Soto Sport, so not much will change between us.”
Emilio added,“Given our position in the market along with the growth we are experiencing within of the sport of triathlon, I could not think of a better place to invest money than in my own company.
“Dan has been a huge mentor and like a big brother to me, and this purchase has only strengthened it. In fact we still have a some other irons in the fire.”
