The winners of the Triathlon London Awards 2012 have now been decided; and the regional tri organisation is proud to announce the winners who have contributed to triathlon within the London area.
The winners for 2012 are:
- Official of the Year – Peter Lambert
- Club of the Year – Thames Turbo Triathlon Club
- Club Event of the Year (club/amateur organised) – Crystal Palace Triathlon (Crystal Palace Triathletes)
- Professional Event of the Year (private company) – Tri Together (The Leonard Cheshire Trust)
- Performance Development Coach of the Year – James Beckinsale (Optima Racing Team)
- Children’s Coach of the Year – Tom Bennett (Thames Turbo Triathlon Club)
- Participation Coach of the Year – John Brame (RG Active)
- Volunteer of the Year – Jennie Male (Thames Turbo Triathlon Club & Triathlon London)
The following individuals have also been put forward for the annual British Triathlon awards:
- Coach of the Year – James Beckinsale (Optima Racing Team)
- Official of the Year – Peter Lambert
- Event of the Year – Crystal Palace Triathlon (Crystal Palace Triathletes)
- Volunteer of the Year – Jennie Male (Thames Turbo Triathlon Club & Triathlon London)
The Triathlon London Awards party will be held on Saturday 10 November at Tideway Scullers School, Chiswick; starting at 19:00 GMT. A buffet plus drinks will be provided. Also, during the event, the winners of the various Zone3 Triathlon London League categories, the Triathlon London Tristar/Youth Series and The Jack Boericke Award will be presented with their prizes.
Triathlon London notes that it would be great to have as many people involved with triathlon within the London region as possible at the awards party. So the party can cater for everyone, those attending should rsvp communication[at]triathlonlondon.org.
