The 11th edition of the popular Triathlon Show (formerly TCR Show) takes place on 1-3rd March 2013 at Sandown Park, Esher. A packed schedule of sporting legends including Chris Boardman and Daley Thompson, Olympians Helen Jenkins and Rebecca Romero and former World Champions such as Tim Don and Chrissie Wellington will be providing seminars, Q&As and autograph signings.
With seminars, interactive workshops, The PowerBar sponsored 10K, 5K and 2K and the Evans Cycles RideIt! sportive initiative, there’s something for all multisport enthusiasts. The 220 Triathlon Live! Seminars and the Triathlon Show Theatre have a host of seminars on stroke efficiency, sports science, nutrition and bike positioning.
Notables, such as Tim Don and Chrissie Wellington will also be holding Q&As. The Running School will be putting on its renowned interactive running workshops and the Zoggs SwimZone returns allowing visitors to get their stroke analysed by professional coaches.
Run3D Gait Analysis will be on hand to provide advanced biometric analysis and Triathlon England will also be available with its ‘Get into Tri’ advice. The UK’s leading multisport show will host over 140 exhibitors displaying the latest swim, cycle and run kit. With lots of show offers – such as the chance to win the latest cover on Triathlete Europe magazine, signed by the Brownlee brothers – it’s a great place to get the triathlon season off to a flying start, whether athletes are new to triathlon or are long-course veterans.
David Townsend, founder of The Triathlon Show said “2012 was an extraordinary year for triathlon with the Brownlee brothers’ success, another British lady taking the Kona crown and [Daniel] Halksworth taking the UK Ironman title. Triathlon continues to grow exponentially and 2012 has only reinforced this development.”

Among the exhibitors at this year’s Triathlon Show is the world-renowned Surrey Human Performance Institute, which is taking bookings for its Advice Clinic, offering a range of sessions, from maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max) and Anaerobic Threshold testing on a treadmill; the ‘gold standard’ of fitness tests. It is also offering sessions on body composition, precision hydration measurements and offering advice on strength and conditioning, yoga and nutrition.
New products in the pipeline
Exciting product launches are also expected from a range of exhibitors, including Orca which is launching its new 2013 wetsuit. RunBreeze is also launching its 2013 range of apparel and Swimovate is expected to launch a new product. On, the revolutionary running shoe brand, will also be launching its 2013 range of shoes.
Mako Sport is also launching into the UK at the show and will have two-time Olympian Jess Harrison and Olympian Mick Williamson on its stand to answer questions. The Running School will be providing 60-90 minute running technique coaching sessions. Sessions can be booked in advance and these will involve both practical and theory.
There will also be a strong presence from the sports nutrition industry, with GU, ZipVit, Neovite, PowerBar, CherryActive, Clif Bar, Torq Fitness and USN all being available with special prices and nutrition experts on offer.
Fit Brands will be back with its 12 brands, from newline to Balega socks and Soleus Watches. Wattbike will also be on hand again to offer pedal analysis and training advice. Also back for 2013 is the Zoggs SwimZone where top coaches and athletes will be providing demonstrations of swim technique and efficiency. Subject to availability Visitors can have their stroke analysed in one of the Endless Pools.
2013 also sees a new Triathlon Club Village where local triathlon clubs can meet, socialise and showcase their offerings to potential new members.
