Event registration and cloud computing specialist ACTIVE Network has celebrated the opening of its new Dallas global headquarters with the launch of the Dallas ACTIVEx Charity Challenge. The challenge is designed to give back to the communities that the company’s technology helps to power.
Through ACTIVE’s partnership with Kids in the Game, money raised through the challenge goes directly to placing kids into youth sports activities at local YMCAs, youth sports organizations and camps.
Meet ACTIVE
The company invites the public to Meet ACTIVE by joining employees for the Dallas ACTIVEx Charity Challenge. For the first time, the Challenge is open to the public for participation and fundraising at the 2014 US Open Triathlon, for which ACTIVE Network is the presenting sponsor, to be held in Rockwall, Texas on 12 October.
“The ACTIVEx Charity Challenge is designed to bring together our clients, our community, and our team, creating an ecosystem of support for a great cause aligned with our mission of making the world a more ACTIVE place,” said Darko Dejanovic, Chief Executive Officer of ACTIVE Network.
“During the past eight years, the ACTIVEx Charity Challenge has been a way for ACTIVE employees to participate in the events our customers create. To date, our employees’ nationwide fundraising efforts have raised more than US$600,000 and have provided more than 2,500 underprivileged kids access to participate in activities at youth sports organizations across the country.”
Committed to Dallas
ACTIVE Network relocated in August from San Diego to a new state-of-the-art global headquarters in downtown Dallas. In support of the North Texas community and as a reflection of its heritage, ACTIVE Network is committed to building and enhancing its involvement in athletic and community events across the region. The company notes that the ACTIVEx Charity Challenge is the first of many such events to come.
