British Triathlon and Triathlon England offer Digital Comms internship

British Triathlon has a new opportunity for a Digital Communications Intern – responsible for developing and delivering a Digital Communications Plan for British Triathlon and Triathlon England.

British Triathlon is the National Governing Body for Triathlon, Duathlon and Aquathlon in Great Britain – with responsibility for raising the profile of triathlon and delivering medal-winning performances – while Triathlon England is a Home Nation federation.

The Digital Communications Intern will deliver innovative content on the British Triathlon and Triathlon England websites, maintain triathlon’s current social media channels, and explore new channel development in-line with current market trends.

Key interactions will include:

  • Generating content around Olympic and Paralympic Programme athletes and support staff;
  • Delivering key strategic social media campaigns around major triathlon events such as the PruHealth World Triathlon London and Tri Liverpool; and
  • Bringing to life our participation programmes including Go Tri and delivering value to Triathlon England members through digital communication channels.

British Triathlon and Triathlon England are looking for a creative, proactive and highly organised individual who will thrive in a leading NGB that strives to empower individuals to deliver their best. The successful candidate will need to be able to handle multiple projects and channels within their working day and have the confidence to respond quickly and accurately to breaking news.

They should have experience of sport at all levels and digital sports journalism should be a passion as they seek to gain greater hands-on experience via this internship. A team player and world-class communication skills are imperative in this role.

The role will be based at the British Triathlon headquarters located at Loughborough University; however, the nature of the internship will require significant evening and weekend working and occasional travel.
