The team at nutrition firm Nordic Oil has welcomed triathlete Nikki Bartlett on board as a brand ambassador. An extremely talented sportswoman, Nikki first excelled in the sport of rowing where she attended the European University Championships, Gold for Girls and was then fast tracked onto the GB rowing World Class Start initiative.
After an injury Nikki found herself cycling and running to recover and started to enter triathlons and half iron distance events. Nikki went from strength to strength and has notched up a number of strong performances, including first female at the Scottish Olympic Distance Championships this May.
Nikki said “It’s great to be a part of the Nordic Oil ambassador team alongside the likes of Eimear Mullan and Dan Halksworth, as I’m extremely passionate about nutrition and recovery. I understand the stress we put on our bodies through training, working and everyday lifestyle and therefore a healthy mind and body is key to stay clear of any injuries or illnesses.”
She went on to say “Nordic Oil has a subtle taste of lemon so is extremely easy to take on, but I mainly use the capsules, daily and consistently. With no odd fish smell or after taste, they are easy to take. So far, since regularly taking the capsules, to date, I haven’t been ill since October 2013. I also live in Scotland, so topping up Vitamin D stores is important!”
Nikki’s next big races include Ironman UK 70.3 this weekend, the British and Scottish Middle Distance Championships at Aberfeldy in August and the Challenge Mallorca European Championships in October.
