‘Oh Canada’… Interbike announces Canadian-inspired industry party

Interbike, the largest bicycle trade event in North America, has announced the details behind its annual industry party and a new Lobby Social event. The ‘Oh Canada’ Industry Party will pay homage to the retailers, companies, and culture that is Canadian cycling.

Held on Tuesday, 9 September 2014 from 19:30-22:30 in the Mandalay Bay Ballroom, the Industry Party will feature a night of games, free beer and friendly rivalry as Interbike ‘celebrates the sport that unites us all’. Attendees will also enjoy music being spun by long time industry graphic designer, racer and DJ, Matt Incognilios (ATOM). Party goers that wear their favourite US or Canadian-branded team jersey will be entered to win fun prizes throughout the night.

“We’ll have Molson on tap, air hockey, foosball, and a whole lot more,” said Pat Hus, Vice President of Interbike.

Harkening back to the early days of Interbike, event managers have also brought back a once popular networking event that took place just outside the show hall. The Lobby Social will transpire as Interbike’s first day wraps up on 10 September, from 17:30-18:30.

Sponsored by PeopleForBikes, IMBA, BPSA and The Bike Cooperative, all attendees are invited to the main lobby outside of the halls to grab a free beer, network with old friends and meet new ones as well.

A limited number of sponsorship opportunities are available for the ‘Oh Canada’ Industry Party and the Lobby Social. Both can be purchased directly through Interbike. Contact Andria Klinger, Sales Director at +1 949 226 5745 / andria.klinger[at]emeraldexpo.com for more information.

Interbike returns to the Mandalay Bay Convention Center beginning with OutDoor Demo in Boulder City, Nevada, on 8-9 September 2014, followed by the Interbike Expo on 10-12 September 2014.
