Polar Bottle is official water bottle of Team SmartStop

Sports bottle specialist Polar Bottle has partnered with the Team SmartStop cycling squad for the third year in a row — cementing its position as the official water bottle of the North Carolina-based team in 2014.

The UCI Continental cycling squad, which began as Time Pro Cycling in 2006, has accomplished many cycling feats since the riders started toting the Polar Bottle brand of insulated water bottles in their bike cages in 2012. In September last year, for example, the team earned a bid to the inaugural Tour of Alberta and walked away from the race with two top 10 finishes.

“It has been great working with these riders,” said Polar Bottle Sales Manager Phil Bash. “We have a lot of cycling fans at the office who follow races pretty closely and it was so cool to see our bottles represented at some of the bigger events the team has participated in.”

As a sponsor again this year Polar Bottle will continue to support through product donation of the company’s Made in America, BPA-free, insulated sport water bottles to keep the 15-person team hydrated during the 2014 season.

“These are the best bottles out there and the support from Polar Bottle has been amazing,” said Joe Carpisassi, Team SmartStop Pro Cycling Equipment Manager. “Because of the company’s support we always know we have an ice cold refreshing drink waiting for us in our bottles, in our gym bags, with us in the car travelling to races, or wherever we go.”

To celebrate their mutual sponsorship of the cycling team, Polar Bottle and Jackson, Wyoming-based outdoor apparel company Mountain Khakis recently partnered for a week-long Facebook contest. The promotion, which ends on Friday, rewards four lucky followers with a three-pack of the same 20oz water bottles used by the team and a US$30 Mountain Khakis gift card. Athletes can check the Polar Bottle and Mountain Khakis Facebook pages for details on the contest.

Product Architects Inc is the parent company behind the Polar Bottle brand of insulated water bottles and the Cenote Hydration System.

Product Architects originally got started in 1994 as a three-person operation in a two-car garage in north Boulder, Colorado. It then expanded to a business operating out of a 15,000 square foot facility that employs nearly 50 people. And less than three years since the company moved from the 7,000 square foot space it called home for 15 years, Product Architects once again doubled its space.

The recent move of premises follows a year of steady growth for the Boulder-based insulated water bottle manufacturer. Along with launching the new Ergo lifestyle bottle and stainless steel Thermaluxe bottle, Product Architects has added several new key accounts and increased its manpower by 48% over the past three years.

The new 32,000 square feet of space, company representatives say, will allow for anticipated future growth.
