Miami Tri Events, the organizer of City Bikes Ironman 70.3 Miami, has confirmed the return of the UnitedHealthcare Corporate Challenge at this year’s event.
City Bikes Ironman 70.3 Miami is positioned as a unique racing experience that draws thousands of athletes each year. The organisers note that the event features one of the largest expos on the Ironman 70.3 circuit; with the expo kicking off on Friday 24 October, at Bayfront Park in the heart of Downtown Miami.
The race itself takes place on 26 October and is comprised of a 1.2 mile swim in the protected bay waters adjacent to Bayfront Park, a 56-mile bike ride from Downtown Miami to the Florida Everglades and a 13.1-mile run through metropolitan Miami.
This year’s UnitedHealthcare Corporate Challenge consists of team relays and individual entries. Each team will represent a participating corporation. Relay teams will be made up of three individuals: a swimmer, a cyclist and a runner.
The UnitedHealthcare Corporate Challenge portion of the event provides an opportunity for positive competition among corporate teams, as well as a chance for participants to network within the local business community. The UnitedHealthcare Corporate Challenge aims to foster positive relationships among teammates and corporate opponents.

Winners of the UnitedHealthcare Corporate Challenge will earn a trophy that will reside for a year at the winning team’s offices. The winning team will be invited back the following year to defend its title. A portion of all proceeds raised by the corporate challenge will be donated to the UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation (UHCCF).
Participants and fans will have an opportunity to bid on various triathlon-inspired merchandise and experiences with all proceeds going to fund UHCCF medical grants for children.
