2015 Long Course Weekend

As the UK summer starts to ebb away, multisport racing action is still brightening up mainstream TV for athletes and fans alike! Continuing its partnership with Channel 4, sports broadcast & production firm Dream Team has confirmed that the 2XU Long Course Weekend will air on Channel 4 this Saturday 29 August at 07:00 BST.

The stunning Pembrokeshire coast is the setting for this weekend triathlon, which is made up of three events in three days – the Wales Swim, the Wales Sportive and the Wales Marathon. With each discipline taking place as a separate stage, by the time competitors finish the marathon in the historic coastal resort of Tenby they will have completed an iron-distance triathlon over three days.

With thousands taking part, there is significant crowd support and strong competition in each event, as well as the ultimate prize of being fastest across all three days.

Future Dream Team TV programmes airing in September and October on Channel 4 include:

  • The Outlaw Triathlon – 5 September
  • Para Tri at Dorney Lake – 19 September
  • Challenge Weymouth – 26 September
  • The World Mountain Running Championships – 3 October
  • The Hever Castle Triathlon – 17 October
