Those athletes thinking about signing up for this year’s Royal Windsor Half Marathon Trail Run, have until next Monday 21 April 2015 to take advantage of the discounted ‘Early Bird’ entry rate.
The Royal Windsor Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 24 May 2015, set in the heart of the picturesque Thames Valley in South East England; with a scenic start and finish at the foot of the historic Windsor Castle. The flat off-road course weaves along the banks of the RIver Thames and takes place largely on river trail paths.
And following feedback from those who have taken part in the event in previous years, the event organisers also introduced 6K and 10K routes back in 2014, enabling more people to take part and enjoy the running experience at alternate distances.
Martyn Edwards, Royal Windsor Half Marathon Race Director said, ‘These events are an absolute ‘must do’ for anyone who is looking for a break from the grind of the pavement and a bit of scenery. The event is not designed to be a grueling cross country through deep mud and puddles, but aims to be a fun, friendly and fast trail run along one of England’s most historic courses.”
He contined, “There will be an abundance of of on-site facilities, including commentary, food and music which means that there will be plenty to keep other supporters and little ones entertained, ensuring a fun day out for all the family.”
Entry for the Royal Windsor Half Marathon Trail Run is £30 (£25 and £23 respectively for the 10K and 6K events) if booked before 09:00 BST on Monday 21 April. Following this date, entry prices rise to £35 for the Half Marathon (£30 and £28 for the 10K and 6K events).
