Honey Stinger, the leading manufacturer of honey-based nutritional products, will introduce two new flavours in the coming months to its award-winning lineup of USDA Certified Organic products: Caramel Stinger Waffles and Grapefruit Energy Chews.
“Our Organic Stinger Waffles and Organic Energy Chews are our two most popular product lines,” said Jennifer Shea, Honey Stinger National Sales Manager. “The addition of the new flavours will strengthen these already popular product lines, giving customers more flavour options for their nutrition needs.”
The traditional stroopwafel, which originated in the Netherlands over 200 years ago, is a waffle made from two thin layers of baked batter with syrup filling. In the Netherlands and Belgium, stroopwafels are popular among European cyclists looking for a quick boost of energy.
Rather than syrup, the Caramel Stinger Waffle uses organic honey and other organic ingredients, making Stinger Waffles a certified USDA Organic product. In addition, Stinger Waffles are now certified Kosher. Each waffle is individually wrapped for easy, on-the-go snacking, and is priced at US$1.39.
The Caramel Stinger Waffle will be available for purchase at specialty running, cycling, outdoor and natural foods retailers nationwide across the US, and on honeystinger.com starting in March.
Stinger Waffles will be available in Caramel, Gingersnap, Honey, Vanilla, Strawberry, Chocolate and Lemon flavour variants.
The new Grapefruit Energy Chew flavour emerged from the popularity of Honey Stingers’ Kids’ Organic Sour Citrus Chews. Grapefruit Energy Chews are USDA Certified Organic, gluten-free, dairy-free and reportedly provide 100% of the recommended daily amount of vitamin C.
The Grapefruit Energy Chews will be available in early May, adding to the existing line of Fruit Smoothie, Cherry Cola, Cherry Blossom, Pomegranate Passion Fruit, Orange Blossom, Pink Lemonade and Lime-Aid flavor energy chews.
