TriBike Transport (TBT), ‘triathlon’s first fully assembled bicycle transportation service’, is rolling out its newest service: Ship & Ride, for those athletes interested in taking their bike with them while traveling for work, vacation, or for any instance that takes them away from their home and their bike.
TBT notes that the triathlon/cycling industry is growing, and travel has increased as the economy continues to strengthen. TBT’s interest lies in helping the traveling athlete, who desires to continue their training while on the road – or athletes that just want to enjoy riding while traveling. TBT will ship bikes to select destinations via its extensive network of Partner Shops.
“We’ve heard the desire for destination bike transport repeatedly while working with triathletes and cyclists over the years,” said Marc Lauzon, President and Founder of TriBike Transport. “With Ship & Ride, athletes can travel for vacation, or work, or whatever, and have their bike waiting for them at their destination.
“No schlepping big bike boxes through the airport, hiring a larger vehicle to accommodate the bike box, assembling and disassembling the bike on site, and the stresses that go along with all these things. We’ll get your bike to your destination, be it a race, or a vacation spot; hassle free.”
TBT’s Ship & Ride Service is similar to the company’s Pack & Ship Service, which was introduced in 2014 and has been extremely popular among the triathlete and cycling communities.
Once an athlete signs up for the Ship & Ride Service, TBT will send the athlete shipping labels and detailed instructions regarding the entire service. The athlete’s bike will require disassembly and packing in a box before shipping. TBT will handle assembling the bike at the athlete’s destination, and dis-assembling upon the athlete’s departure date. A list of participating Partner Shops and destinations can be found on the TriBike Transport website.
