The 6th edition of the Asia Bike Trade Show in Nanjing, China – the sister trade show to Eurobike – rounded off on 15 September 2016. A total of 321 brands displayed their latest innovations in bicycles, parts and accessories on a fairground of about 35,000 sq m in the Nanjing International Expo Center.
At the three-day exhibition, 6,729 trade visitors and a further 1,901 end consumers attended and experienced the show and its aligned side events. Compared with the year before, the Chinese bicycle market declined and the show organising team note that this has affected Asia Bike with regards to participation.
Concept changes including the compact format with a reduction to three exhibition days ‘anticipated this market development.’ Extended testing facilities during the whole show next door and a comprehensive side program aimed to raise the profile of Asia Bike as ‘the quality bike show in China’.
“Once again Asia Bike proved its status as the only high end focused bike show in China with a fine line up of state of the art sports and luxury bike brands from all over the world,” stated Stefan Reisinger, Head of Eurobike.
The 6th Asia Bike Trade Show and the 4th Demo Days took place on 13-15 September 2016. The first two days were open to trade visitors only. The last day, which coincided with the Chinese traditional Mid-Autumn Festival, was open to the general public, giving cycling fans an opportunity to visit the show.
