Taking place in North Wales, the Snowdonia Triathlon Festival weekend is ‘not for the faint-hearted’. The event will air on Channel 4, as part of the terrestrial broadcaster’s ongoing partnership with Dream Team Television, this Sunday 20 November on Channel 4 at 06:40 GMT and Ch4+1 at 07:40.
Incorporating the Snowdonia Triathlon, the second event in the Always Aim High Adventure Triathlon Series, competitors start with a swim in the lake at Plas y Brenin – a place surrounded by ‘the most beautiful mountain views in Britain’. After this they must face the mountains themselves with a 60km bike ride that takes in several high passes. Finally the competitors face an off-road run to the finish.
The final ‘run-in’ of endurance sport TV shows to look out for in 2016 on Channel 4 include:
- Sandman Triathlon – 26 November
- Itera Ireland Expedition Race – 10 December
- The Three Peaks Yacht Race – 17 December
Having established a close partnership with Channel 4 television, Dream Team Television is one of the UK’s leading production companies specialising in multisport, adventure, athletics and motorsport programming.
