Cycleguard Long Course Weekend airing on Channel 4

The Cycleguard title sponsored Long Course Weekend is airing on terrestrial TV via Channel 4’s long-standing partnership with endurance sport TV production firm Dream Team Television. The highlights show airs on Channel 4 on Saturday 25 August at 06:15 BST, with a further airing on Ch4+1 at 07:15, and online catch-up on All 4.

The Pembrokeshire Coastal National Park in Wales hosts this swim, bike, run event which is made up of three races in three days – the Wales Swim, the Wales Sportive and the Wales Marathon. With each discipline taking place as a separate stage, by the time competitors finish the marathon in the historic coastal resort of Tenby they will have completed an iron-distance triathlon.

With thousands taking part, Dream Team adds that there is legendary crowd support and strong individual competition in each stage, as well as the ultimate prize of being fastest across all three.

Following on from an initial broadcast on mainstream UK television station, Channel 4, all of Dream Team’s programmes can then be seen on Sky, British Eurosport, Premier Sports and Front Runner in the UK as well as numerous other channels internationally.

After the broadcast of the Triathlonguard Long Course Weekend on Saturday 25 August, the following events will be broadcast in September and October:

  • USW UK Challenge, 8 September
  • IRONMAN Wales, 22 September
  • Asda Foundation Yorkshire Marathon, 20 October
  • The OCR World Championships, 27 October
