Online training platform The Sufferfest has confirmed an integration with Final Surge, a specialist in performance tracking and analysis software for endurance athletes and their coaches. This partnership makes The Sufferfest library of 102 structured training plans for cycling and triathlon available for free through Final Surge while also supporting instant upload of Sufferfest activities to the Final Surge training log platform.

Designed by elite coaches Neal Henderson and Mac Cassin at APEX Coaching, The Sufferfest training plans now available on Final Surge ‘allow athletes of all fitness levels to benefit from the same world-class sports science used by Olympic athletes, world champions, and professional cyclists’.

Covering a range of disciplines – including road, time trial, cyclocross, XC mountain biking, and triathlon – the plans from Sufferfest utilize a mix of indoor training sessions in The Sufferfest app, outside rides, and technique drills to improve form and efficiency. Optional yoga and mental training components can also be added to any plan. To access all 102 training plans, all users need is a subscription to The Sufferfest and a free account with Final Surge.

“The Sufferfest’s Four-Dimensional Power (4DP) platform gives athletes an unprecedented level of insight into their fitness, including a complete power profile, rider type, and a primary area for improvement,” said David McQuillen, CEO of The Sufferfest.

“Our training plans allow Final Surge athletes to target those areas where they need the most improvement, whether it’s sprinting, sustained efforts, VO2 efforts, or repeated efforts. Instant upload of Sufferfest workouts to Final Surge allows athletes and their coaches to track their performance, optimize their training, and improve their communication.”

“We love The Sufferfest’s unique blend of cutting-edge sports science and their culture of educating and motivating athletes of all backgrounds and goals,” said Final Surge Chief Marketing Officer Scott Zagarino. “The Sufferfest is a perfect fit with our culture here at Final Surge, and we look forward to our collaboration to further empower athletes and coaches to track fitness and performance metrics like never before.”
