Addaday takes a seat at 2019 IRONMAN World Championship

The new IRONMAN BioChair from Addaday Intelligent Technologies (AIT), the Official Massage Chair of the IRONMAN US Series, offers triathletes the ‘best seats for their recovery needs’. At the 2019 IRONMAN World Championship, Addaday adds that it will offer ‘spectators the chance to sit in the best seats in the house on race day.’

Addaday is also offering athletes the chance to recover post-race in an IRONMAN BioChair alongside multiple-time IRONMAN Champion, Tim O’Donnell to trade ‘war stories’ and benefit from a full-body massage experience tailored to the individual needs of the user.

For anyone who purchases an IRONMAN BioChair at the Addaday retail venue or the IRONMAN Merchandise Tent in Kailua-Kona during race week (October 8-11), they will land two slots for their friends or loved ones to receive an hour-long massage with some of the best views over the most action-packed section of the course – on Palani Road opposite the Marriott King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel.

A release from Addaday notes… ‘In the cool shade, lucky spectators will be able to soak up the action by just laying down and letting the technology do the recovery work for them, thanks to intelligent software technology that gets to know the body of the user and delivers a full-body massage experience. The experience will ensure they are refreshed, recovered and can give it their all as they cheer their athletes across the famous finish line.’

Personalized recovery, 1:1 with Tim O’Donnell
Beyond the various recovery tools that will be available for purchase in Kona, the brand is offering two lucky Kona qualifiers the opportunity to recover post-race in an IRONMAN BioChair – and trade race stories alongside IRONMAN Champion and Kona podium contender Tim O’Donnell. Athletes can snag a 30-minute tailored recovery massage and one-on-one time with O’Donnell on Sunday, October 13, by bidding online at addaday.com/ironman to benefit the IRONMAN Foundation.

O’Donnell is the latest professional athlete to endorse the benefits of Addaday’s recovery tools, including the new first-of-its-kind IRONMAN-branded BioChair, which is tailored to the needs of triathletes. A unique benefit of Addaday’s new massage chair is the ability to select ‘Swim’, ‘Bike’, or ‘Run’ therapy options. These are ‘specifically tailored to the muscle groups commonly associated with each discipline, enabling triathletes to prime for or recover from their swim, bike and run workouts.’

“Aside from the fact that Addaday’s BioChair technology really works, the convenience factor is something many busy triathletes will relate to,” say Tim O’Donnell. “Before or after a hard swim, bike or run, I can just sit back and benefit from an effective massage that’s tailored to my needs in the comfort of my own home, meaning I get valuable movie time with my daughter Izzy! It easily pays for itself – in terms what I was otherwise paying for a massage therapist – as well as quality family time.”

“Tim O’Donnell is our first professional IRONMAN triathlete partner and is a perfect fit for our brand,” says Dr Mike Venezia DC, Addaday Intelligent Technologies’ Expert BioMechanist and Resident Doctor of Chiropractic. “Like so many serious triathletes, he understands that recovery can be the difference between competing and being injured – and in his case, getting a paycheck or not.

“We’re thrilled he’s put his trust in our technology and we’re delighted to work with him to help bring the benefits of a certified sports massage therapist into the comfort and convenience of the home.”
