Continuing the expansion of the TOUGHMAN brand in Latin America, TOUGHMAN Chile returned this year, on Sunday, June 15, 2019 to the northern most city in Chile, Arica. The event’s full title is TOUGHMAN Chile Arica Pan American Championship as it formed a championship event for athletes in the Americas.








Racing got under way at 07:30 local time at Bahia Club De Yates Arica. There were two distances on offer:
- Half: 1.9k swim (2 laps) + 90k bike (4 laps) + 21k run (4 laps)
- Fourth: 0.95k swim (1 lap) + 45.0k bike (2 laps) + 10.5k run (2 laps)
The South America TOUGHMAN races that form the southern circuit for the event brand are: Futrono, Copiapo, Arica, Quillon and Iquique.
Taking place on Sunday, September 15, 2019, the TOUGHMAN Series Championship in Stony Point New York, 20 miles north of New York City, offers over US$30,000 in age-group awards, a US$4,950 cash purse (top 5) for qualifiers, a scenic bike course, and over 1,400 race support volunteers.
