The new Powerstrap X4 from fizik is positioned a versatile gravel-focused shoe. Italian firm fizik adds that the shoe was… ‘created for comfort, high performance and a close fit when drop bar riders’ adventures pass the limits of traditional paved roads.’
The shoe is part of fizik’s Terra off-road series… ‘designed to take riders beyond their boundaries… Mixing terrain, grinding gravel or gliding through flowy singletrack.’
Aimed at being supportive, protective and tough yet light and comfortable, the new shoe delivers ‘high power transfer, whatever the conditions under the riders’ tyres.’
fizik adds that Powerstrap X4 is easy to fit, and is available in a choice of three contemporary colourways: Black/Black, Anthracite/Grape and Mud/Caramel.
Powerstrap X4 is equipped with the innovative Powerstrap Velcro closure, which delivers an enveloping fit. While most traditional Velcro closures just pull together two sides of the shoe’s upper, the Powerstrap’s configuration features a ribbon that wraps around the foot, providing secure containment using just two straps. The instep and the midfoot are separately adjustable for customized fit and compression.
Powerstrap X4 features the new X4 outsole, designed specifically for this new gravel-orientated shoe. It is engineered blending nylon – producing targeted stiffness, and an overall stiffness index of 6 – with a rubber tread for effective grip and durability, necessary for the rigors of performance gravel riding.
